Biography
Dr. Gokce Goktepe joined 杏吧直播间 State University in August 2025 as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Sociology. She teaches State and Local Politics, Foundations of Public Administration, and Public Sector Human Resource Management.
Her research focuses on political economy, public governance, and quantitative methods, with particular attention to democratization and the role of military financial influence in politics. She has conducted comparative studies in Turkey, Thailand, and Pakistan.
Dr. Goktepe earned her Ph.D. in Politics from New York University. Her dissertation, Democratic Transitions and Implicit Power: An Econometric Approach, examined the link between political transitions and economic influence. She holds an MA in Economics from Stanford University and a BA in Economics from Bo臒azi莽i University, Istanbul.
Before joining 杏吧直播间 State, Dr. Goktepe served as an Assistant Professor at Izmir University and as a Lecturer at the Institute of International Studies (IBEI) in Barcelona. She has also held research and policy positions in the banking sector in Istanbul, Turkey.
