TRiO Student Support Services (SSS)
ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥¼ä State University TRIO Student Support Services is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education: $327,826 annually.
1974-2025 — Over fifty years of serving students on the MSU Campus.
Student Support Services (SSS) provides services to first-generation student, students with limited income backgrounds, and students with disabilities. The program offers several services that inspire, challenge and empower students to persist and graduate from ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥¼ä State University. All services by SSS are FREE to qualified students.

Eligibility
Selection for participation in the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥¼ä State University Student Support Services (SSS) program is based on students meeting certain federal requirements.
Students must meet one of the following:
- 
                           
                           
First-generation college student
 - 
                           
                           
Meet federal low-income guidelines
 - 
                           
                           
Have a documented disability
 
Students should also:
- 
                           
                           
have an academic need
 - 
                           
                           
be either a freshman, sophomore or transfer student
 

Program Services
SSS staff work collaboratively with MSU students to provide the following services:

academic tutoring services, which may include online or in-person tutoring
 - 
                     
                     
advice and assistance in secondary course selection
 - 
                     
                     
assistance in preparing for graduate school entrance examinations
 - 
                     
                     
information on the full range of Federal student financial aid programs and benefits (including Federal Pell Grant awards and loan forgiveness) and resources for locating public and private scholarships
 - 
                     
                     
assistance in completing financial aid applications, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
 - 
                     
                     
financial literacy education for students and families
 - 
                     
                     
personal and career counseling
 - 
                     
                     
career exploration
 - 
                     
                     
graduate school visits, educational and cultural events
 - 
                     
                     
academic skill workshops
