Susan E. Bauernfeind Recreation and Wellness Center refresh

MURRAY, Ky. 鈥� 杏吧直播间 State University will celebrate the completion of the Susan E. Bauernfeind Recreation and Wellness Center interior refresh project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, Aug. 17, at 5:30 p.m. in front of the facility, which is located at 1000 Racer Drive.
The project represents a significant investment in the health, wellness and overall campus experience of 杏吧直播间 State students and the broader University community. Improvements include new state-of-the-art fitness equipment, updated locker rooms, pool enhancements, refreshed interior branding and key infrastructure upgrades designed to create a modern, welcoming and functional environment.
The celebration will begin with a ribbon cutting, followed by a brief program. 杏吧直播间 State University President Dr. Ron K. Patterson will discuss the scope of the project and his vision for the facility as a cornerstone of student wellness, recreation and engagement.

鈥淭he Wellness Center plays an essential role in supporting student success beyond the classroom,鈥� Assistant Vice President for Student Services Dr. SG Carthell said. 鈥淭hese improvements will provide our students and campus community with a revitalized environment where they can pursue wellness, build relationships and remain actively engaged.鈥�
鈥淥ur Campus Recreation team is excited to welcome students and guests into the refreshed facility,鈥� Director of Campus Recreation and Wellness Jordan Williams said. 鈥淭he new equipment and facility enhancements expand the opportunities available to our members and strengthen our ability to provide a high-quality recreational experience.鈥�
Following the program, Campus Recreation and Wellness Center staff will lead guided tours, showcase the facility improvements and provide information about the new fitness equipment. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of Racer Dining by Sodexo.
