Local high school students recognized at the CoEHS’ annual Golden Scholars dessert reception

MURRAY, Ky. —  ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥¼ä State University’s College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) recognized regional high-achieving high school seniors who have been admitted into various programs within the college. The Golden Scholars Dessert Reception was held on Friday, Mar. 17 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in Alexander Hall.  

There were 11 students in attendance, as well as their guardians or guests. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about their respective programs by meeting with their faculty, talk with representatives from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥¼ä State University Alumni Association and Office of Development, as well as discuss tuition and scholarships with the Financial Aid Office. 

Dr. David Whaley, Dean of the COEHS, shared remarks about the college, the significance of teaching and human services career fields, as well as announced the winner of a giveaway prize at the end of the ceremony. 

Ms. Tressa Ross, coordinator for recruitment and retention, distributed certificates to the students in recognition of their successes, commitment to pursuing higher education, and their interest in careers of service.
